Folding iPad would arrive in early 2024, according to an expert

Apple could launch its folding iPad early next year, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported on his official Twitter account. “I am confident that the foldable iPad (will arrive) in 2024 and hope this new model will boost shipments and product diversity,” he wrote Monday.

In addition, Kuo hopes that the iPad Mini will accompany this tablet, and between the two, they will increase the company’s sales with the apple logo. The iPad Mini is also expected to go into production in the first quarter of 2024.
The Apple product expert did not offer more details about the rumored iPad that will use folding technology on its screen. However, he revealed that it could be made of “carbon fiber,” which would be produced by the Chinese company Anjie Technology.

A date change

If confirmed, this launch would come much sooner than previous rumors anticipated. In February of last year, Ross Young, an analyst for the technology product chain, announced that Apple was developing a 20-inch iPad-MacBook hybrid that would not be ready until 2026.

Shortly after, Mark Gurman reported in Bloomberg that Apple was already looking to experiment with a foldable dual screen, which would include a button in the middle of both monitors, and similar to other similar products, the upside-down screen would become a virtual keyboard.

It should be noted that it is not the first time Kuo has announced foldable products by Apple since two years ago. He indicated that the company was working on an iPhone with these characteristics for this year. However, said date would be questioned.
